I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. Make a wonderful soup in less than 30 minutes, curl up, stay warm and be comfy! The idea of making soup with leftover Mac and cheese was a revelation. If you know that recipe it has lots of different cheeses in it plus tomatoes so I thought it would be particularly good made into a soup and it was!!! I added a can of tomatoes with green chili, chicken broth, and some milk and it was even better than it had been as the original.

In a medium size pot, boil the elbow macaroni in salted water until al dente Drain well. In a blender, blend together the milk, sour cream, cheddar cheese soup, cheez whiz, eggs, melted butter, white pepper, ground mustard, and salt. You can also do this by hand with a whisk. Layer one half of the cooked macaroni in the bottom of the baking dish.

Spread the last of the cooked elbow macaroni over the cheese layer. Pour the creamy sauce evenly over the macaroni. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top. Dot the top with butter just before baking. Bake for 40 minutes until golden and bubbly.

The leftovers were still good the next day! I always reheat leftover mac and cheese with a splash of milk to retain some creaminess. Will be adding this recipe to my recipe box. Thank you so much! Hi Aaliya! Everyone loved it. I followed the recipe exactly, including the cheddar soup, except that I used a full 16 oz box of elbow noodles instead of the 12oz the recipe calls for. It even kept its creamy texture as it cooled down.
